Bayou Bend is the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts and paintings. Displayed in the former home of Houston civic leader and philanthropist Ima Hogg (1882–1975), the collection is one of the finest showcases of American furnishings, silver, ceramics, and paintings in the world.

Since 1989, Thetas have stood with the National Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardians ad Litem (CASA/GAL) Association for Children. Kappa Alpha Theta has contributed millions of dollars and countless volunteer hours to CASA/GAL programs and impacted the lives of many, many foster children.
